Toia Phillips is a program coordinator with P4K’s high school team. She works primarily with 9th and 10th grade students at North, Northwest and Benson High Schools. Toia loves the variety involved in her job and enjoys working directly with mentors and students.
Toia has extensive experience working with student populations. Prior to joining Team P4K, she worked as a youth counselor with Boys and Girls Club, she also served as an Upward Bound TRIO Coordinator and facilitated college prep workshops. Toia also worked in higher education as an academic advisor, coach and career counselor.
Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from University of Nebraska at Omaha and a master’s degree in educational leadership for higher education from Capella University.
When Toia isn’t working or studying she enjoys scary movies, dancing, four-wheeling, reading and watching boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA) and volleyball.
