Shukura Huggins serves as a middle school program coordinator with Team P4K and truly has a passion for what she does. Shukura primarily works with the 7th and 8th grade student groups at Lewis & Clark and the 8th graders at Beveridge Middle School.
When asked what she loves most about her job, she finds it difficult to narrow it down to just one thing. Connecting students with the right resources, helping them build a foundation of skills that will fuel their ability to achieve, witnessing as students’ aspirations for the future develop into solid plans for success-these , Shukura explains, are just a few of the reasons she loves what she does.
Shukura holds a BA in Studio Art-Graphic Design, which she earned from the University of Nebraska At Omaha. Before coming to Partnership 4 Kids, she worked with a high school arts mentoring program in conjunction with her Americorps service.
When Shukura isn’t working, she loves all things artistic including designing, performing poetry, listening to music. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
