Knowledge Gained

At P4K, we believe that students gain knowledge and achieve academically as a result of participation in our program.

Elementary

Reading Goals:  92% Achievement

Math Goals:  92% Achievement

NeSA Test Scores

Reading

  • Fifty-four (54%) of P4K middle school students met or exceeded state standards on the 2013/14 NeSA reading test.

Math

  • Fourty-47 percent (47%) of P4K middle school students met or exceeded state standards on the 2013 NeSA math test.

Middle School

An average 3.07 GPA was maintained by middle school students.

Reading

  • Sixty-one percent (61%) of P4K middle school students met or exceeded state standards on the 2013/14 NeSA reading test.

Math

  • Fourty-four percent (44%) of P4K middle school students met or exceeded state standards on the 2013 NeSA math test.

High School

An average 3.04 GPA was maintained by high school students.

NeSA Test Scores

NeSA tests are administered statewide to students in grades 3-8 and 11, only. Due to P4K’s transition to a K-10 model in 2013-2014, there are no NeSA scores to report for high school.  During the 2014-2015 academic year, P4K’s high school program served students through 10th grade with continued indirect services up to high school graduation.

 


Behavior Modified

At P4K, we believe that students’ behavior is improved and school attendance rates increase as a result of participation in our program.

Elementary

Life Skills Goals:  83% achievement

Middle School

78% of students missed 8 or fewer days of school. (up from 67% in the 2013-14 academic year.)

91% of students reported that they are motivated to attend school regularly. (up from 87% in the 2013-14 academic year.)

High School

79% of students missed 8 or fewer days of school.

90% of students reported that they are motivated to attend school regularly.


Self Worth Enhanced

At P4K, we believe that students’ self worth is enhanced as a result of participation in our program.

Elementary

87% of our students answered AGREE or STRONGLY AGREE to the statement:  I feel good about myself when I reach my goals.

Middle School

92% of students reported that they are more motivated to finish high school.

92% of students reported that they are more motivated to go to college because of participation in our mentoring program.

High School

100% of students reported that they are more motivated to finish high school .

92% of students reported that they are more motivated to go to college.


Graduation Rates Increase

At P4K, we believe that student graduation rates increase as a result of participation in our program.

High School

98% of high school senior program participants graduated on time.

62%  2014-15 graduates pursuing post-secondary education received a portion of $214,000 in P4K Scholarship funding.

 


Positive Community Impact

At P4K, we believe that our program has a positive impact on the neighborhoods we serve and the Omaha community at large.

Parents:

Parents were in attendance at P4K events 2,059 times.

Volunteers:

330 Omaha volunteers served as goal buddies, mentors or  community advocates for P4K elementary students.

8,044 volunteer hours were donated by the Omaha community.

18 corporate partners or organizations supported the Goal Setting & Group Mentoring Programs by allowing 3 or more of their employees to volunteer during the work day.
