Postsecondary is the culmination of the Partnership 4 Kids Program. We are proud to invest in our students who have overcome many obstacles to reach this point. By this time, these students have been part of P4K for years, since elementary school for many. In addition to individualized case management and academic support, P4K students are eligible to apply for our college scholarship to ensure they can graduate with little to no student debt.

To support students through this final, critical stage of their academic career, Partnership 4 Kids provides postsecondary students with intensive individual case management, last-dollar-in scholarships, and networking and internship opportunities for career placement. Our staff offices on University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO) and Metro Community College (MCC) campuses to be accessible to students for consistent support.

Additionally, P4K staff provide monthly “lunch-and-learn” style workshops to support personal and academic success, and first-year college students are matched with upperclass P4K postsecondary students who serve as peer mentors as added support in navigating college life. Another resource P4K provides our postsecondary students is a laptop lending library to ensure technology does not become a barrier to a students’ academic success. As part of individualized case management support, P4K postsecondary students receive resume assistance, job shadow opportunities, as well as internship and career placement support to help set students up for success during and after their education.
