Make a Legacy Gift

Richard & Mary Holland Legacy Society

The storied history of the Holland’s and Partnership 4 Kids all began when both Mary and Dick supported two youth serving agencies; The Winner’s Circle, an elementary goal setting and life skills agency, and All Our Kids, a mentoring organization serving youth from middle school through post-secondary. It was through their foresight that by creating one agency, Partnership 4 Kids, we would serve more children in need through comprehensive programming that supports a child’s entire educational journey. Mr. and Mrs. Holland’s visionary support has proven to create an extraordinary legacy that continues to empower thousands of youths each year to build the skills needed to secure a brighter future for themselves and our community.

Seeded by the Holland’s vision and perpetuated by their generosity, Partnership 4 Kids has named their legacy giving program in memory of their transformational support and care for our community’s youth. Through P4K, their legacy will be preserved, cherished, and nurtured.

By making a commitment of financial support in your estate plans and participating in the Richard and Mary Holland Legacy Society, you will support children and their educational journey for future generations. When one child wins, we all win. It would be our sincere honor to steward your legacy as we have the Holland’s.

Share Your Plans

Caring and generous champions like you have found that through their will planning, they are able to provide for loved ones and continue to help prioritize Omaha’s youth.

You Decide How to Give. Start Here.

Bequests

Making a bequest is as simple as writing a provision in your will to support Partnership 4 Kids (P4K). Working with your attorney to make this simple addition is one way that donors have chosen to express compassion for Omaha’s youth.

Life Insurance

You can designate a specific amount and, in many cases, receive a tax deduction for the cost of the premium paid on insurance policies benefiting a nonprofit, like Partnership 4 Kids. Transferring ownership of unneeded policies, purchasing a new policy, or simply designating “Partnership 4 Kids” as the beneficiary on a policy you own are all convenient and effective ways to leave a meaningful legacy.

Retirement Accounts (IRA)

For the charitably inclined like yourself, retirement funds often serve as a powerful giving tool. Making a tax-free distribution directly to P4K may reduce your annual income tax burden. Further, designating P4K as a beneficiary of your retirement account may also reduce your taxable estate and avoid significant tax consequences of passing these particular assets to an heir.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

Many families use DAFs in place of a private foundation. A DAF allows you to access favorable charitable deductions and then make grants to charities like P4K over time. Many DAF sponsors, like your local community foundation, also allow you to define successor advisors, such as children or grandchildren, or to designate a charity or charities, like P4K as a testamentary beneficiary of your DAF.

Trusts

Charitable Remainder Trusts and Charitable Lead Trusts are advanced planning tools that allow you to create lifetime income for yourself or a family member or to transfer wealth to future generations, while granting a charity with an income stream or a sizeable remainder gift. These tools offer powerful tax advantages and have the potential to leave a highly impactful legacy through Partnership 4 Kids.

Appreciated Assets

Given outright or when paired with other strategies above, giving appreciated assets, like stocks, to Partnership 4 Kids directly may significantly reduce your income, capital gains and/or estate taxes, while shaping the landscape of Nebraska for future generations.
