Postsecondary & Workforce Development Program

P4K prepares high school students for a postsecondary plan, including 2- and 4-year colleges, military service, or the trades. P4K Scholarships are awarded to students who meet engagement criteria. P4K staff members provide critical case management to ensure postsecondary students have the resources and support necessary to persist in their chosen programs.

With the exposure to career opportunities and college campus visits that students experience during their time in P4K, most students have a clear idea of which academic field(s) they plan to pursue upon their high school graduation. In addition to peer mentorship on select campuses, a team of success coaches provide monthly career and academic guidance, including critical programming.

P4K helps as students apply for scholarships and federal student aid (FAFSA), promoting debt-free graduation. Offices located on both the Metropolitan Community College (MCC) and University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) campuses, allow P4K staff to provide consistent support.

P4K programs are supported in part by a grant from United Way of the Midlands.
P4K proudly participates in the AmeriCorps network of programs.
