Program Description

P4K sets youth on this path at an early age and continues to guide them throughout their academic journey. We believe in laying the foundation for success early on, exposing students to diverse career opportunities and fostering a clear vision of their academic goals. Our commitment extends beyond high school graduation, with dedicated efforts to ensure students embark on their postsecondary education journeys debt-free. Through strategic partnerships, financial aid support, and last-dollar-in scholarships, we empower students to pursue higher education with confidence. Peer mentorship, success coaching, and critical programming further enrich the student experience, fostering academic and career success.

Our Postsecondary Goals

P4K students will dive into a whirlwind of activities, tap into support networks, and bond with peers to rock their college journey.

Equipped with top-notch skills and know-how, they’ll strut into the workforce with confidence after graduation.

Students will also have the opportunity to explore their passions, discover new interests, and unleash their creativity during their time at college. With P4K cheering them on, endless opportunities at their fingertips, and a world of possibilities waiting to be explored, our P4K students gain a transformative and unforgettable experience.

Our secret? Career workshops, sweet internships, career matchmaking, and a sprinkle of alumni connections.

Laptop Lending Library

Students who do not have access to a personal computer for academic and professional development can request a laptop equipped with basic Microsoft Office software through our lending library.

College Campus Visits

Our team facilitates these monthly excursions to ensure that enrolled UNL students have access to resources, guidance, and a sense of community that fosters their academic and personal growth.

Tutoring Program

P4K offers a tutoring initiative for enrolled students. The mentorship program provides extra assistance for students seeking additional support.

Bridge to Excellence

Students participate in curriculum sessions and build connections with P4K staff and school supports to prepare for their postsecondary education.

College Care Baskets

First-year postsecondary students receive college care baskets filled with dorm room essentials to ease their transition into independent living.

Lunch & Learn

Students in the Omaha metro recieve professional and personal guidance at monthly Lunch & Learn sessions hosted at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Peer Mentoring

Peer mentorship programs on select campuses create a supportive environment where students can learn from and support each other.

Renewable Scholarship

The Partnership 4 Kids Scholarship is available to active program participants interested in pursuing postsecondary education.

Partnership 4 Kids Scholarship

The Partnership 4 Kids Scholarship serves as a valuable opportunity for active program participants aspiring to pursue postsecondary education. The P4K scholarship endowment is designed to complement and support students’ additional financial aid. It is not intended to be the sole source of a student’s college funding.

Scholarship amounts are determined based on financial need. Once awarded, the scholarship is renewable for up to four years for those pursuing a degree or certificate.

Eligibility Requirements:

Eligible students who have successfully completed P4K programming through 12th grade may apply for this scholarship
